Sweetpea reads my book!

For an upcoming live performance of a couple of my Super Holly short stories (details coming!), a fellow writer asked me to take more photos of me, the author, reading to one of my cousin’s dogs. Tucker, the black dog heading my website, was not cooperative (just wanted to lie down and rest his old bones), so I read to squirmy little Sweetpea. Sweetpea’s light coloring and expressive face made for some decent photos.

    • Thanks! Holly does not have a secret identity, that’s been done to death. My supers usually use their real names. But as the Superman of my stories, Holly is greeted by a cry of “Super Holly!” both by scared supervillains and by adoring little girls in Holly’s fan club.

As for the doggie, Sweetpea, she is quite the happy and squirmy bundle. But she will look at a book if I hold a little piece of sausage inside the covers.
